As has been said before, if they are willing to blow themselves and 30 other people to hell, what type of torture would one suggest. Just keep them in prison, give them lousy food, or food that their religion prohibits and let them starve, like it or not they do not deserve humane treatment. Lately I have found redmeat and sometimes poultry disgusting. Not in the way it's cooked but more like i'm losing a taste for it. I'm seriously thinking about becoming a vegetarian. vegetarians usually do not lack protein... unless they're eating nothing but junk food. protein can be found in almost all vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, and grains. even iceberg lettuce has protein. most people get too much because of all the hype surrounding protein.



i thought going vegetarian was one of the best health choices i've made... but then i became a vegan two months later and realized THAT was the best health choice. i've had more energy than i've had in a looong while.



i feel good knowing that i'm not supporting the greedy and selfish bigwigs that run the meat, dairy, and egg councils... and that i'm not supporting the death of innocent animals. i feel good knowing that i'm treating my body the best way. and i feel good about taking a stand against the environmental impacts factory farming has on the world.

Go to your local public library, and you will find a lot of books covering the basics (and beyond) of veg nutrition. Most libraries also have cookbooks, so go ahead and check out a few and try the recipes in them to see if they are any good before you go invest in a $40 cookbook.

To answer your questions if you make sure you are getting proper nutrition (either by taking supplements or talking to a dietition) than there are no downfalls. There are plenty of ways to get protien as a vegetarian...Beans, Nuts, Peanut Butter, Soy Milk, Milk, The List Goes On....!

i converted to vegetarian 12 yrs back though i was born in a non vegetarian family......i dont feel any change...i work as much, i play as much, i am as healthy as before,

i think it is because i was vegetarian at heart, all my life....i never actually liked taste of meat....and i believe this is always very important if u want to quit meat.

as for protein u can have more dairy products, use lot of soya products.but actually dairy product helps a lot because u can consume lot of milk and its available in many forms from yoghurts to ice creams to frappe to infinite



and about information becoming vegetarian, u actually dont need lot........its not very technical, there are many religion in this world which practise vegetarianism and they live as long as we do.
