How do I figure out the cost of my pets per month?

I have 3 fish that each use a filter all day and night, nonstop and lighting for their tanks 12 hours a day max.

I already know the cost of their food and basic costs of any extra things I might need to get.How do I figure out the cost of my pets per month? What is the wattage of the lighting? Multiply that by 360 (12 hours X 30 days) to get the watt hours used. Divide that by 1000 (that's the unit the power company uses to bill you (kilowatt hours)). Then multiply that by the what the power company charges you per kilowatt hour to get your costs.

The same thing goes for the filters except multiply by 720 (24 hours X 30 days). If the power on the pumps (should be on a name tag somewhere on the pump) is in Amps instead of watts simply multiply the amps by 120 to get the watts.

Good Luck! How do I figure out the cost of my pets per month?mine are like $5 a month in electricity.
