What grit sander used with Dremel do I use for trimming pets nails?

I just bought the attachment (Peticure) so that I could trim my dogs nails with my own Dremel. But I have no idea which sanding disc to use and I don't want to hurt my pet. What grit sander used with Dremel do I use for trimming pets nails?Any grit will work, but a finer grit would be best. I too use a rotary tool for my dogs nails, but it's a very small tool. You need to be careful and make only light passes, because a Dremel might be too powerful and it may take off too much too quickly, or generate a lot of heat.

The nail attachment really isn't all that necessary. I trim my dog's nail without one. What grit sander used with Dremel do I use for trimming pets nails?
I just the "large drum" sander. I think the grit is all the same for them. The smaller drums work OK, but they don't last as long. What grit sander used with Dremel do I use for trimming pets nails? Can't manipulate a nail-wacker?

My male's nails are like granite, so I use a heavier grit on him.

Make sure you do just a little on each nail and move to the next one. You can always go back. Working on one nail too long will create heat. NEVER push down with pressure, it can get hot for the dog's nail. Just let the sandpaper drum do it job.
