We are taking 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 parakeet by car across the US. They should fill out a health certificate for each animal (I'm not sure about the bird). You will need to let them know how many states you are going through, and where exactly you'll be stopping. If you are worried about it, take their vaccination records (usually people only care if they are vaccinated against rabies), but I highly doubt you will run into any trouble.
