However, generally speaking, the best websites are species specific, because there is simply so much important info to tell you! These are some of the best I have found:

There are very few websites that specialise in pet care for more than one or two species. Here is one I found:

If you want to learn about a specific species just simply type into google the pets species (i.e. rat) followed by care and lots of websites dedicated to that animal will pop up. They are much more reliable than a general pet care website as it tends to be people dedicated to that specific animal who write them, and thus they generally know more because of their dedication. If you are looking for a rabbit one I advise either my website: www.pixibunni.webs.com which is straight forward to use or www.rabbit.org which is the house rabbit society website.
