We have two cats. They are always getting into things, and while I love them, they are starting to make me mad. They love plants the most, and often eat them. Does anyone know a good way to keep them out of the plants? We have tried Cayenne Pepper and those stick lint rollers that will stick to thir fur if they touch it. Thanks a lot.
Also, is there a way to keep them away from fish? They've knocked over our fish bowl, but they did survive. That one's just a longshot. What is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants?someone told me mothballs would keep a cat away from plants...another person said to ball up aluminum foil and put it in the dirt. I didn't try either one of these but my cats eventually just stopped eating plants. My dog on the other hand, I would like to strangle her. I can't plant anything in my back yard for her digging it up and tearing it to shreds. Grrrr. Oh and by the way, my cats love to drink out of my fish bowl. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot I can do about that...they are fascinated with the fish. What is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants?

get them a plant of their own to eat...they sell "cat" grass at the pet store...other than that, spray a little vinegar on the pots and they should stay away from that...and for the fish, put it up higher if possible and be sure to put a lid on itWhat is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants? When I was training my cat I used a squirt gun. Every time he got near the plant I squirted him. He eventually got the point without having to hurt him. What is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants?
Cats need the vegitation of the grass. That's why they have an indoor cat food. Maybe you should try giving them that and see if they stop wanting the plants. What is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants?
we squirt out kitty with a spray gun so he gets the point not to get on the table or into the plants. we have only actually sprayed him a few times because now he knows when we hold up the spray bottle that hes been warned, and he jumps down right away.
hang the plant form the ceiling, thats what i do. and try growing one just for them, like cat grass, you can find it at petco.
